1	A Curriculum for Excellence	Our children are motivated and eager participants in their learning. They are actively involved in their own learning and development. Our curriculum is dynamic and innovative and enables all children to make progress in key aspects of their learning and development. We use a wide range of challenging and stimulating learning environments and teaching approaches which lead to creative, motivating and imaginative learning opportunities. Our teaching fully involves children. Skillful and well-paced teaching approaches help to fully extend learning and encourage children to be curious and creative. Children in our nursery make very good progress from their prior levels of attainment. Children’s experiences are enhanced by staff making effective use of assessment information. We have well planned opportunities for children to experience worthwhile achievement and everyone has high expectations of children’s achievement. We celebrate children’s achievements beyond the Nursery. Staffs collect and store data in order to improve children’s learning and raise achievement. This data is used and shared to improve outcomes for the children. The staff team is empowered, challenged and supported and is deployed effectively leading to recognizable improvements for children.
2	Support for Learning	We identify at an early stage, review and evaluate children’s needs, including those whose needs are significantly different from their peers. We have effective partnership working which makes a difference to the quality of support for children.
3	Partnership with Parents and Children	We have productive partnership with parents and children. Staffs are skillful in working alongside parents. We involve parents and children in reviewing children’s needs and learning plans.
